I ordered my first two giclée print samples and let me tell you the decision fatigue is real! There are so many ways I could do this. I am feeling kind of insane. And thats what blogs are for no?
So I got one of the full size (30x40) and one of the more manageable size (24x32)... Beyond that I basically have no idea what is best so I went with enhanced matte paper, cut them to size with no border, and now while I wait for them I'm going to order two basic frames to put them in. Thankfully I live near Colourgenics Toronto where I got the scans, so bonus, I can pick them up flat and put them in the frames right away... They also said they can do drop shipping directly through my Shopify but they don't have a framed option... They do have a mounted option that might be better? Otherwise the prints will be shipped rolled up, which I don't love.. And then there's canvas recreations which are pretty friggin sick but for the full size 30x40 recreation is really expensive imo. Who knows what's best. The people will let me know what they want. Sometimes you just gotta go out and giver
Pictured are some details from my piece Wilful, which is the one I ordered 24x32. Should look mint. Estimated SELL price for 24x32 giclée print WITH frame is currently $190? I think? Estimated SELL price for the full-size 30x40 one WITH frame is $260 +tax and shipping on both those prices... That's with me doing the framing myself and then sending it out... I'm so new though! I know nothing. Looking forward to finding out what works for clients and what works for other similar artists.
